The Zeiss CellDiscoverer 7 (CD7) is a unique, automated inverted microscope system designed for longterm live cell imaging in plates, although it can also image dishes and slides. This powerful, high-throughput system combines widefield, laser scanning confocal and even super resolution Airyscan2 imaging over a wide range of magnifications from 2.5X to 100X. Specifications are below.
– Incubation chamber with CO2, temperature and humidity control
– Automated UV decontamination between sessions
– Combined confocal (LSM 900) and widefield microscope
– Objectives:
– Objectives all use a 0.5x, 1x, and 2x tube lens magnification option providing magnifications from 2.5 to 100x
– Automatic water immersion for 50x water-dipping objective
– Lasers: 405, 488, 561, and 650 nm
– Widefield filters: 425/30 + 514/30 + 592/25 + 709/100, 467/24 + 555/25 + 687/145
– Brightfield options: Differential interference contrast (DIC) and phase contrast microscopy
– 3 slides or multi-well plate capacity
– Airyscan2 super resolution (140 nm resolution)
– Software: Zen Blue
